elementary school for the highest
attendance.
He received a Master of Arts
Degree in Organizational Leadership from
American Public University and Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Human Resource Management
from American Military University. He is a
University Ambassador for the American
Public University System. He is pursuing a
Doctorate Degree in Education - Higher
Education Leadership and will be a College
President/Chancellor. He is an independent
certified coach, speaker and teacher with
the John Maxwell Team. He has certifications
as a Master Project Manager Quality
Assurance, and Master Fitness Instructor.
Due to his Philanthropic Work and giving
back to his community, he was awarded an
Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humanitarian.

About Derrick Horsley

CWO Horsley’s last military assignment was as
the Human Resources Officer for the 902nd
Military Intelligence Group where he supervised
over 20 Human Resources professional employees
in a Sensitive Compartmented Information
Facility (SCIF) that gathered and collected
intelligence information to prevent hostile
intelligence threats to the U.S. Military
Forces. In that capacity, he developed,
executed, and implemented over 13 employee
policies for promotion, awards, professional
development, and training programs, thereby
improving efficiency and overall human resource
management with 100% accuracy.
While deployed to the Middle East, CWO Horsley
was the Chief, Essential Personnel Services
Division (G-1) Officer. He served as one of the
Master Project Manager who successfully withdrew
millions of dollar worth of equipment and
thousands of United States Troops from Iraq on
the drawdown date by the President of the United
States through the Deployed Theater
Accountability System. He processed over 600
Foreign Officer, Joint and Army Awards for
Coalition Forces and screened over 100
Department of Army-Wide Centralized Promotion
Selection Board Results for both Officer and
Senior Enlisted Personnel by reducing the error
rate from 20% to zero within the United States
Army Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of
Operations.
For his strong organizational leadership skills,
he was selected to be the Executive Officer of
Headquarters and Headquarters Company by the
Battalion Commander, Special Troops Battalion,
1st Sustainment Command (Theater) Fort Bragg,
NC.
While assigned as the Brigade (S-1) Human
Resources Chief Warrant Officer, he maintained
over 10 Department of the Army Personnel Human
Resources Information Systems (Electronic
Military Personnel Office, Total Officer
Personnel Management Information System, etc.)
and Information Technology databases that
resulted with a 99.97% accuracy.
Prior to being commissioned as an Army Officer,
he was an Enlisted Sergeant First Class (E-7).
He was selected by the Army Human Resources
Command as an Instructor for the Soldier Support
Institute Advanced Individual Training
Directorate where Soldiers received their Human
Resources Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
As an Instructor, he competed and won the
Instructor of the quarter; and runner-up for the
year. He later became the Senior Instructor,
Writer/Developer, and the Course Director.
During his tenure as the Course Director, he
trained over 1,000 Soldiers (Active Component,
Reserve Component, and National Guard Soldiers)
with only a 1% attrition rate. He was a Master
Fitness Instructor and a graduate of the
Sergeants Major Academy-Battle Staff Course.
CWO Horsley served two tours to the Middle East
in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom (OIF),
Operations of Enduring Freedom (OEF), and New
Dawn (OND). His military honors include the
Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal,
Global War on Terrorism Medal, Meritorious
Service Medal (2) and the Army Commendation
Medal (7).
He is an Adjunct Professor at West Georgia
Technical College where he teaches Business
Administration, Human Resources Management,
Leadership and Supervisory Courses.
He received a Master of Arts Degree in
Organizational Leadership from American Public
University and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human
Resource Management from American Military
University. He is a University Ambassador for
